My Portfolio
ABOUT ME:
Born in a family of five, I have two elder sisters and two young brothers. I was born on 10th October 1988. I started primary school back in 1994 at St Mary's Primary School then later moved to Tree Tops Primary School in 1997 where I did my grades 4-6. While in my 6th grade, I did the grade 7 exams and qualified for secondary school. I went to Mary Queen of Peace Girls' School where I completed my education in 2004. Later I studied Business Administration at the Zambia Insurance Business College, where I got a Diploma.
At 17, I was the youngest of the Nokia Face of Africa 2006 semi-finalists. I strongly believe in life’s many possibilities and my new motto is “the sky is not the limit but my starting point!” I am inspired by my dad because he encourages me to take risks and exceed myself.
I'm working with a reputable modeling firm in South Africa under Jan Malan.
FASHION:
The fashion shows are wonderful. I have also done some editorial work and am busy building my portfolio. I participated in the Audi Joburg Fashion Week in February 2007, the shows were beautiful and I gained some good experience. Being a part of this show was awesome. Working in the shows gets me local exposure and experience. In Cape Town I did the Indaba Fashion Expo. This was the first of its kind, it’s a show where you get to tell a story though clothes. Adding more life to the clothes for me was fun. Getting to work with actors, actresses and dancers was just brilliant; After shows there are parties where you get to socialise with the people in the fashion industry. I have met some editors from big name magazines which has worked well for me. You meet potential clients and fellow models. Everything has been awesome. |
